For Neurobiology & Physiology
The NBP Seminar Series is held Tuesdays in the Pancoe Abbott Auditorium in Evanston. Seminars are also video conferenced to Ward 5-230 on the Chicago campus. We bring prominent speakers from across the country and world to present their research; students, post-docs, faculty and staff with an interest in neurobiology and physiology are encouraged to attend.
Founded in 1981, Northwestern University's Department of Neurobiology and Physiology was one of the first in the country to grant an undergraduate major in either of those two fields. Since then our research and teaching activities have grown dramatically. Our department is credited with major innovative educational programs within the University, educational outreach programs in the community, and widely acclaimed scientific advances, particularly at the interface between molecular biology, physiology, and behavior. We offer a 1-year M.S. in Neurobiology & Physiology, which is popular with students considering medical school.
