for Sexual Health and Assault Peer Educators (SHAPE)
SHAPE is a student organization coordinated through the Center for Awareness, Response and Education (CARE). SHAPE is responsible for delivering sexual health education and sexual assault prevention programs to Northwestern students.
The mission of this organization is to make sexual health and sexual assault prevention/response a campus priority by providing information and training, generating dialogue about sexual health issues, organizing sexual health related events, and sustaining visibility of the organization. Ultimately, this program functions to increase students’ comfort surrounding sexuality, encouraging them to learn and adopt sexually healthy behaviors and to recognize and address unhealthy and dangerous behaviors and attitudes regarding sexuality.
