Upcoming Events for Colloquium on Ethnicity & Diaspora (CED)

The Colloquium on Ethnicity and Diaspora (CED) seeks to attract undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, staff, & friends across various disciplines & departments who share active research interests in African American studies, Asian American studies, Latina/o studies, Indigenous and Native American studies, diaspora, race and ethnicity, postcolonialism, citizenship, (im)migration, and related fields. Led by two graduate students, the CED fosters a vibrant intellectual community and provides a safe space in which both faculty & students are peers, sharing insight into and probing questions about critical readings of the most recent, ground-breaking books & articles in our fields. CED also invites faculty from other peer institutions to give talks on current research and debates in the study of race and ethnicity in domestic and global contexts. CED events are free and open to the public thanks to the support of: The Graduate School, Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences, Department of History, Department of African American Studies, Program in Asian American Studies, Alice Kaplan Institute for the Humanities, and Chabraja Center for Historical Studies.
