This choral concert's featured work is Francis Poulenc's Gloria, one of his most celebrated compositions. Written in 1959 for soprano solo, orchestra, and chorus and premiered in 1961 by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, it was commissioned by the Koussevitzky Foundation in honor of conductor Sergei Koussevitzky and his wife.
