Have you ever wondered if your use of PowerPoint is putting students to sleep? In this hands-on workshop, participants will: (1) explore how PowerPoint and other presentation tools can be used to promote student engagement and enhance active learning during lecture, (2) learn several easy classroom assessment techniques that can be readily worked into existing course material, and (3) work with other tools, such as concepts maps, to develop alternative approaches for engaging students.
