Graduate students are invited to learn from NU professor Jeanne Herrick about the various factors that affect cross cultural communication both inside and outside of academia. Topics to be discussed include: the difference between cultural patterns and stereotypes, culture shock and how to deal with it, and the development of intercultural sensitivity.
