Saturday, June 9 marks the 19th Annual Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon, the largest day of community service in Chicago. More than 8,000 volunteers from hundreds of local businesses support the renewal of Chicago Public Schools by providing free general maintenance, construction, and painting to school campuses citywide.
Participation in the Serve-a-thon is FREE and includes:
• T-shirt
• Breakfast, lunch, and post-event party
• Transportation from Northwestern Memorial Hospital to the event registration at Daley Plaza
To sign up, go to Chicago Cares and follow the instructions below to join a Northwestern Medicine team:
Go to www.chicagocares.org Click the “Serve-a-thon Register” icon (Under “Upcoming Events” on right side of the page) Click on "Register Here" Click "Agree" to the required event waiver Select "Start a Team" or “Select a Team” and choose Northwestern Medicine from the drop down menuSet team recruitment goals. We recommend aiming high for 20-50 team members.
