Dr. Katz is a medical epidemiologist and currently the advisor for surveillance and epidemic-prone diseases at the US Centers for Disease Control-Haiti in Port Au Prince. Before coming to Haiti, Mark was based in Nairobi for five years, where he directed CDC-Kenya's regional influenza program. Mark attended Mount Sinai Medical School and completed his residency in internal medicine and primary care at NYU/Bellevue. He was a fellow in CDC's Epidemic Intelligence Service program from 2004-2006.
