A five day proposal writing workshop for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the life and biological sciences and biomedical engineering. The workshop will focus primarily on developing essays for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, though other grant writers are welcome.
The Graduate School offers a series of grant and fellowship proposal writing workshops in alignment with specific deadlines and led by writing experts. The goal is to help students and postdoctoral fellows produce the strongest possible writing for proposals, understand what reviewers are looking for, edit writing to be clear, concise, interesting, and persuasive and increase the likelihood of securing funding.
The workshop will be held on Thursday August 16, Thursday August 30, Thursday September 13, Thursday September 20, and Wednesday September 26 from 5:00 – 6:30 PM each day on the Chicago campus (exact location to be announced).
Registration is required and space is limited. Please register at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Y9RWZTV and have your advisor send a very brief email of support to k-veraldi@northwestern.edu no later than Thursday, July 26.
