More Info

Traditionally, grading has served a single purpose: communicating to students how well they have performed in the course.  By thinking creatively and strategically about how to integrate it into a course, however, faculty members can use assessment as a means for improving student learning.  In this workshop, participants will consider how to

- Link course objectives, design, and assessment

- Develop and use grading rubrics

- Effectively use alternative forms of student assessment

- Use formative assessment to improve student learning
