This interactive talk explores how researchers can use acting techniques to develop effective communication skills. The usefulness of acting techniques stems from the similarity of the goals for communication and the recurrent problems that actors and graduate students encounter when "performing". The techniques which actors have devised to relate to and improve their communications with their audiences will be shared.
