In an exciting development, the Course Management System (CMS) now allows instructors to create interactive rubrics designed to enhance the teaching and learning experience in their courses. In this session—a collaboration between Academic and Research Technologies and the Searle Center for Advanced Learning and Teaching— instructors will:
· Explore the purpose of a rubric, focusing on the benefits this tool can provide both instructors and their students.
· Evaluate the strengths of different types of rubrics.
· Develop a rubric that integrates with their CMS course site.
Attendees are invited to bring a laptop, but it is not required.
