Description:

Community and academic partners and partnerships are invited to participate in quarterly writing retreats hosted by the Center for Community Health (CCH).  These are a great opportunity to turn conference abstracts into papers, plan for possible papers from current research, make progress on drafts, or finish revisions.

These are not educational workshops but a dedicated space and time for attendees to focus on their own academic journal manuscripts.

- CCH faculty and staff will be on hand to share publishing experience, answer questions, and provide guidance as needed.  New CCH Deputy Director and Northwestern faculty, Darius Tandon, will be there to provide consultation to interested attendees.  Darius is Editor and Chief of Progress in Community Health Partnerships, the only journal dedicated to publishing about community-academic collaborations.

- Two different writing syle rooms will be available - a quiet space that allows colleagues and collaborators to talk and a separate space for consultations with CCH faculty/staff.

- Breakfast, lunch and light snacks will be provided throughout the day.
