Historicizing Food Insecurity in Africa's Past and Present through Archaeology

Amanda Logan, Assistant Professor, Anthropology Department

Amanda Logan joined the faculty at Northwestern as Assistant Professor of Anthropology in Fall 2013. She is an archaeologist who works primarily in Ghana. Her current research focuses on how everyday life changed as West Africa was drawn into global trade networks over the last millennium, as well as questions of sustainability and resilience to environmental change over the long-term.
