We are rarely comfortable talking about difference in our culture. Some believe that with a Black president, a shift towards legalized gay marriage and higher graduation rates for women than men, we have all become equal. Further probing tells us something different. At some point in our lives we all make a choice: do I sit and observe or do I take action?
The Women’s Center is taking action. We seek to move towards a community where inclusion and equity are ingrained in every part of who we are and what we do. Join us at our Series kick off on October 22. See details below.
Reimagining Inclusion: Connecting our Community through Collaboration and Innovation
Shirley M. Collado, PhD
The face of our campus is changing. At Northwestern our roles in that change vary, but through system-wide collaboration and shared responsibility, we can create a community where everyone can excel and feel welcome.
Join Shirley Collado as she speaks about building skills to transform our community into one where diversity and inclusion are imbedded in everything we do. With the right skills, innovation and teamwork, we can become a more inclusive university.
