Description:

The Barry Goldwater Scholarship provides funding for highly qualified individuals in science, mathematics, and engineering academic study and research.

The Goldwater Scholarship is one of the most desirable undergraduate awards. Scholars continue after the bachelor's to win such prestigious fellowships as NSF, NDSEG, and the Hertz.

AWARD AMOUNT
Undergraduate tuition and expenses up to $7,500 annually.

ELIGIBILITY
**Sophomore or Junior in Sciences, Math, or Engineering
**U.S. Citizen /U.S. Permanent Resident
**Strong research experience; rigorous academic program; public service

Northwestern may only forward four candidates. Previous candidates, chosen or not, have profited enormously from the application process in their ability to articulate professional goals, think creatively about their current and future research plans, and form a partnership with key professors in their departments.
