One Book One Northwestern
Proposals sought for the 2014-2015 One Book One Northwestern program
University officials are seeking proposals for the 2014-2015 academic year, and suggestions are welcome for subsequent years as well.
Program proposals should include the book title, a faculty leader and a Northwestern program or department that will host the yearlong program, and a brief description of why this book would make a good One Book, One Northwestern selection.
Email proposals and questions about One Book One Northwestern to email@example.com deadline is Nov. 26 for sending proposals for next year.
Members of the Northwestern community are also invited to share their reading lists with One Book One Northwestern on GoodReads.
The selected book should be available in paperback and digital formats. It will be distributed to incoming students next summer in preparation for the fall quarter.
The One Book One Northwestern faculty leader will address incoming students at the President’s Convocation during Wildcat Welcome.
The One Book One Northwestern program is sponsored by the Office of the President. The planning committee, chaired by Eugene Lowe, assistant to the president, includes students, faculty and staff.
The committee will review initial proposals and invite a smaller number of full proposals for more detailed consideration before making recommendations to President Morton Schapiro.
