It's a brave new world at the intersection of technology and social change, with revolutions happeneing all around us. From campaigns to end violence and hate speech against women, to Arab Spring, to movements demanding racial equity, we can see the promise -- and sometimes, the peril -- that digital activism can bring.
Deanna Zandt, award winning media technologist, will discuss the impact we're making, and the challenges we face, as we make change by sharing through social media. How we choose to connect to one another has the potential to create deeply felt, powerful empathy, and that emotional resonance is the fundamental building block for shifting cultural consciousness.
RSVP's appreciated.
