Dr. Stephen Freilich: Director of Materials Science and Engineering for DuPont Central Research and Development (CR&D).
Dr. Freilich will visit Northwestern to deliver an ANSER seminar titled, "DuPont Materials Technology Development in the Energy Space."
DuPont has continued a tradition of innovation for over 200 years by directing its science to address the most critical issues facing society over the decades. One of the major challenges of our times is the need to generate sufficient clean energy to power a growing population in a global economy. Innovation in these spaces requires more than invention. This talk will address some of the issues involved in the industrial innovation process, and discuss some of our recent results in materials science and microstructure applied to photovoltaic and energy storage opportunities.
