Description:

COME LEARN from one of today’s rising female activists and an emerging voice in the movement to end violence against girls and women. Ms. Scheherazade Tillet co-founded the non-profit A Long Walk Home, Inc., which uses art therapy and visual and performing arts to end violence in our homes, schools and communities. Her multi-media presentation sheds light on the connections between race, gender, class, art and healing.

ENGAGE in conversation about art as social change, race and popular culture, and the epidemic of sexual assault.

TAKE ACTION on local initiatives that are part of the global movement to end gender-based violence and inspire girls’ leadership.

CELEBRATE the economic, political and social achievements of women and girls worldwide.

Light Breakfast Served
