Looking for the collected works of Salvador Dalí, or fascinating biographies on Queen Victoria, Emily Dickinson, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Abraham Lincoln? You’ll find them along with nearly 10,000 other books, CDs, and DVDs at Northwestern University Library's Annual Book Sale, May 14 - 16.
Northwestern community members with a valid WildCard or an alumni ID can shop the sale a day earlier, Wednesday, May 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Much anticipated by book enthusiasts and collectors, the annual sale in the Ver Steeg Lounge of Northwestern’s Main Library, 1970 Campus Drive, Evanston campus, opens to the public at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 15, and closes for the day at 4:00 p.m. Hardcover books cost $3 each; quality paperbacks $2; and mass-market paperbacks are 50 cents each.
Everyone is welcome to take part in “Buck-a-Bag Day,” Friday, May 16. That is when bargain seekers can fill up a bag with books, videos and records for only $1 or a box for just $2.
The event features Northwestern University Press overstock, a large number of records in excellent condition for music lovers and especially impressive collections in art, fiction, Africana, and history.
