The second of three guest speaker events as part of the Bienen School's Music Studies Festival.

Speaker: Dr. John Richmond – Director of Glenn Korff School of Music and Music Education Professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Full Title: "Getting A Job in Higher Education as an Academic: The Stuff Nobody Tells You!"

Dr. Richmond is currently serving his third five-year term as Director of the Glenn Korff School of Music. Since coming to UNL in 2003, Dr. Richmond has guided the School of Music in the development of a strategic plan, the completion of an Academic Program Review, the successful completion of a NASM reaccreditation application, and the creation of new MM and DMA degree programs in jazz studies. In his Bienen School of Music presentation, Dr. Richmond will discuss his experience sitting on many hiring committees and particular strategies for employment success with music studies applicants in higher education.
