“Masked Hypertension and Masked Uncontrolled Hypertension: Secrets of the Day and of the Night”
"Undiagnosed and untreated masked hypertension and treated but uncontrolled masked hypertension represent two significant high-risk populations of public health concern. Indeed, current evidence strongly supports revision of National and International guidelines that base diagnostic and therapeutic decisions on conventional in-office BP monitoring; these measurements should be supplemented with home and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring in order to address the current worldwide poor control-rate of hypertension."
