“The role of rare genetic variation in cardiovascular disease”
With deep sequencing, it is now possible to assess human genetic variation on a broader scale. The degree of variation between individuals and across populations was greater than previously suspected. The majority of individual variation is seen only rarely in the human population. Yet rare variation is also positioned to be of high clinical impact presenting a challenge for population-based analysis.
