Description:

"Favorable Cardiovascular Health, Compression of Morbidity, and Health Care Costs: 40-Year Follow Up of the Chicago Heart Association Detection Project in Industry."

Favorable cardiovascular health has been associated with reductions in CVD incidence and mortality. However, little is known about its joint effects on morbidity and mortality. In this talk we will present
the findings from our study examining whether favorable CV health is associated with a longer,
healthier life free of chronic diseases or whether it simply extends life at the expense of increasing morbidity and healthcare costs.
