Certificates of Confidentiality (CoC) are designed to help researchers protect the privacy of human research participants enrolled in biomedical, behavioral, clinical, and other forms of sensitive health-related research. CoC are intended to protect against compulsory legal demands, such as court orders and subpoenas, for identifying information or identifying characteristics of a research participant.
Bring your lunch and join us for a discussion of obtaining and using Certificates of Confidentiality, including what kinds of studies are eligible for a CoC and what protection a CoC will give.
