The Center for Advanced Molecular Imaging (CAMI) within Northwestern's Chemistry of Life Processes Institute (CLP) was designed to provide Northwestern's biomedical researchers with advanced imaging tools and personnel to help use these tools to maximum advantage. CAMI opened in Silverman Hall on Northwestern's Evanston campus in 2010 and provides anatomical and functional imaging at length scales from molecule to mouse. CAMI recently added a single-photon emission computed tomography and x-ray computed tomography (SPECT/CT) nuclear imaging system, providing nuclear imaging for small animals at Northwestern. All of the pre-clinical instruments are smaller versions of those used in the clinic, allowing researchers to relate pre-clinical findings to patients. Please attend the seminar, to be followed up with a workshop, where CAMI will introduce you to the advantages of small animal molecular imaging.
