Description:

Nyree Zerega, Director of the Graduate Program in Plant Biology andConservation at NU, will give a general background about important crops around the world, where they come from, and how people have moved them around.  She will also talk about modern agriculture and our reliance on a limited number of crops and the role underutilized crops could play in the future for food security.  Come learn about our food and even sample some lesser known foods of the world.
