Globalization is rapidly changing the way the world operates, travels, and communicates. With these advancements come a bevy of challenges for global businesses. Increased competition, diverse regulatory requirements, and the rapid rate of technological change are just a few effects of an interconnected world.
In order to increase product pipelines and remain competitive, companies need to constantly innovate. To do so requires leveraging the best capabilities both internally and externally. Companies needing to boost innovation often find the most valuable networks include diverse groups of universities, incubators, government agencies, and sometimes competing firms. While globalization is upping the level of competition, it is simultaneously stimulating cooperation among innovative organizations.
