Description:

The Center for Advanced Molecular Imaging has recently acquired a state of the art preclinical SPECT/CT machine for noninvasive imaging of mice, rats, and rabbits. Come find out how this new high resolution scanner can help in your research. Kah-Whye Peng is Professor of Oncology at Mayo Clinic and a co-founder of Imanis Life Sciences. The goals of Imanis are to accelerate the widespread adoption of non-invasive imaging technologies and support the rapidly advancing field of oncolytic virotherapy.

Dr. Peng will discuss the incorporation of NIS, the nonimmunogenic thyroidal sodium iodide symporter, into cancer models or virus, gene and cell therapies for SPECT or PET/CT monitoring in small and large animal models. She will also discuss how NIS guided the development of oncolytic virotherapies from murine models to Phase I clinical testing in humans and companion animals.
