The Sagamore Institute and Northwestern University's Program of African Studies cordially invite you to attend a special reception and book conversation with the Honorable Christine Tolbert Norman, Mayor, Bentol City, Liberia.
Mayor Christine Tolbert Nornan, a Northwestern University Alumna, is the author of It Is Time for Change, a riveting anthology of selected speeches of her late father, the Honorable William R. Tolbert Jr., who served as the 20th President of the Republic of Liberia. In It Is Time for Change, Mayor Norman distills key principles and values espoused by her father during speeches that he made at key international forums, including the Baptist World Alliance, Organization of African Unity, and the United States Congress as the first African head of state to address the chamber. The book is replete with relevant lessons and insights for current and emergent leaders in Liberia, Africa and the world.
By Monday, October 27th, 2014 please RSVP via email to: MayorNormanReceptionChicago@gmail.com
