Health Promotion and Wellness (HPaW) offers NU students the opportunity to participate in Red Watch Band Training. This bystander intervention training provides the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and intervene effectively in an alcohol-related medical emergency.

Training contents includes:
~Training Overview and Connection to NU
~Addressing barriers to intervention
~NU Responsible Action Protocol
~Alcohol, the Body and Behavior
~Facts vs. Myths about alcohol first aid
~Early intervention to prevent death due to alcohol overdose
~Scenarios to practice intervention skills

Each training workshop runs two hours and is provided at no charge to Northwestern students. Trainings will accommodate a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 30 students in order to promote dialogue and ensure a timely conclusion to training.
