The Michel David-Weill Scholarship covers all expenses for an exceptional American student to pursue his/her Master’s degree at Sciences Po in Paris.
Sciences Po's curriculum focuses on the social sciences, and this scholarship targets candidates interested in studying political science & international relations, economics, history, law, or sociology. French and English tracks are offered for nearly all degree programs, so applicants are not required to speak French. Northwestern may nominate one senior for this award. Generally, applicants with a GPA below 3.8 will not be competitive.
Campus deadline: Monday, December 1, 2014.
Please submit the following materials to Amy Kehoe at amy.kehoe@northwestern.edu:
• Candidate Information Sheet
• Personal Statement from candidate explaining motivation (1,000 – 1,500 words)
• Three letters of recommendation (of which one may be a professional reference)
• Graded research paper from student's undergraduate studies (8-10 pages)
The selected candidate has until December 15, 2014 to complete his/her online application for a Master's program at Sciences Po (via the online application portal). Because the Master’s program application is due so soon after the scholarship application, students should be preparing the two applications simultaneously. Do not wait for the results of the scholarship competition to begin your Master’s program application.
