“Improving Healthcare for Populations: Building Smart and Integrated Remote Health Monitoring Systems”
Nabil Alshurafa will present his research on the design and implementation of automated smart Remote Health Monitoring Systems (RHMS) that can increase health and wellness outcomes in community populations. He will discuss the research and design findings which will illustrate how wireless interventions can promote health-related behavior change and better health outcomes in racially and ethnically diverse populations in the area of physical activity and eating habits in the community setting and motion detection in the hospital setting. He will also address the potential of these systems to improve quality of care and reduce hospital readmissions.
