Industry Speakers:
Kathleen Burzycki, MBA, Bose Corporation
Kathleen Burzycki (ENG and MUS, 2006) is a product marketing manager at the ElectroForce Division of Bose Corporation. After graduating from Northwestern in 2006 with dual degrees in biomedical engineering and piano performance, Kathleen began working at Abelson Taylor, a healthcare-focused advertising agency. As a clinical research associate, Kathleen verified claims made by pharmaceutical brands in their marketing claims. She loved the fast-paced world of advertising, as well as the opportunity to use her clinical background in a creative workspace, and stayed at Abelson-Taylor for over 7 years as a lead copywriter for multiple pharmaceutical brands. While there, Kathleen pursued her MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, graduating in 2011. In August of 2013, Kathleen made a strategic career switch and took a job at Bose as a segment marketer for the Biologics division. Since then, she has transitioned to a product marketing manager role, where she oversees all marketing efforts for the diverse product portfolio in markets such as including biomaterials, tissue engineering, engineered materials, and medical devices.
