Cloud computing is a web-based platform or service that provides an elastic compute, storage, networking, and database capacity in the cloud. It can be obtained and configured easily, and it provides complete control of resources. It is ideal for quickly scaling up or down, as computing requirements change, allowing users to only pay for resources used. This talk will focus on fundamental cloud services (SaaS, Paas, Iaas) deployment models, pros and cons, with a quick guide to setting up an instance with Amazon EC2.
