A performance celebrating the music of the Bienen School’s 2014 Michael Ludwig Nemmers Prize winner, Esa-Pekka Salonen. Salonen is principal conductor and artistic adviser for London’s Philharmonia Orchestra and conductor laureate of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, where he served as music director from 1992 until 2009. Current season engagements have included appearances with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the New York Philharmonic, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. This concert concludes the first portion of his Nemmers Prize campus residency.
