In commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the end of the American Civil War, this concert features Chicago composer Paul Carey’s Civil War Requiem, along with Dear Sarah by James Syler, The Tree of Peace by Gwyneth Walker, and the world premiere of Canadian composer Imant Raminsh’s Canticle. Featured guests include composers Carey and Raminsh and members of Anima–Young Singers of Greater Chicago, which is celebrating its 50th-anniversary season.
