Alecia Wartowski is the current Director of Program at Northwestern University’s Women’s Center. At the Women’s Center, she focuses on building a culture of equity and inclusion across identity through programming, advocacy and empowerment. She is currently focused on creating racial justice and gender equity through dialogue work and on fostering leadership and negotiation skills for marginalized identities.

Before joining Northwestern, Alecia served as a legal aid attorney in Chicago, providing direct legal services through Cabrini Green Legal Aid and Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. She has also worked as a Program Manager and Director of Programs for youth serving organizations focused on after school and community programs for girls and youth of color.

Alecia received her law degree from the University of Wisconsin, her master’s degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education and her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
