Student–Faculty Roundtable: Running a Memorable Discussion Section
Have you found it challenging to shape a discussion section that really promotes discussion and learning? Join us at this unique roundtable session, jointly facilitated by graduate student Cheryl Berriman (Slavic Languages and Literatures) and undergraduates Kelsey O’Donnell and Rohan Prakash (both SESP), to explore the challenges of discussion sections and the practices that can make them more engaging, productive, and ultimately, memorable. Kelsey and Rohan have spent the year investigating various approaches to discussion sections at Northwestern, and will share their findings with the group. Open to faculty, graduate students, and postdocs; several undergrads will also attend.
*Please free to bring your lunch.
