Northwestern students (undergraduate, graduate, and professional), staff, faculty, and their guests are welcome to the Art Institute of Chicago for a night of free admission to the museum, discounts in the gift shop and cafe, and special tours for the Northwestern community.
Please enter at the Modern Wing entrance (Monroe St.). Check in at the Northwestern table with valid WILDcard (guests must be with a host with WILDcard) and you will receive complimentary tickets to the museum.
TRANSPORTATION
Members of the Northwestern community may take a complimentary round-trip shuttle from the Evanston campus. Shuttles will line up in front of Cahn Auditorium at 600 Emerson St. and depart at 4pm & 4:30pm (or earlier if they are full). They will drop off at the Modern Wing entrance. Buses will leave the museum shortly after the end of the event from the drop off spot to return to Evanston.
HIGHLIGHTS
Student docents from the Block museum will be in Rooms 201 & 241 discussing impressionism and post-impressionism pieces.
Museum guides will lead tours of Native American Art (co-sponsored by One Book One Northwestern) and the David Adjaye "Making Place" temporary exhibit.
GUESTS WITH SMARTPHONES
Guests are encouraged to use Smartphones to take photos during the event and caption #AICUniversityNight. The best photo will win a prize from the Museum Shop!
