Department of Microbiology-Immunology Seminar Series
"The Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome and the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome are newly recently emerged infections caused by zoonotic coronaviruses. Both have a high mortality in humans, with aged individuals most susceptible to both infections. This seminar will focus on factors important in this age dependence and also on development of a vaccine that will be useful for many different strains of coronaviruses."
