Desktop GIS is a powerful spatial and analytical tool for your research. The software contains hundreds of tools for performing spatial analysis. These tools allow you to turn data into actionable information for your research. In this workshop we will be using Esri ArcMap to showcase its data authoring, editing, and geoprocessing capabilities.
To follow along with the demonstration, you will need to install ArcGIS Desktop on your PC which is available free to download from NUIT's software page.
The Researcher's Toolkit is a technology workshop series designed to help Northwestern researchers improve scholarly productivity and efficiency in the areas of programming, data analysis, scientific computing, data management, publication skills, and GIS.
