Tableau is a data analysis tool that lets you easily turn large multidimensional datasets into beautiful visualizations. This beginner workshop will introduce you to the basics of Tableau Desktop: you will learn how to connect to a data source, perform drag-and-drop queries and generate multi-view dashboards without writing a single line of code.

This is a demonstration / lecture only. Users do not have to purchase Tableau and it is not installed on Galter Library computers.

The Computational Skills for Informatics (CSI) Seminar is a series of presentations and hands-on workshops for Northwestern researchers designed to offer insight on topics relevant to bioinformatics and large dataset management and computation. It's hosted in collaboration with Galter Health Sciences Library, NUCATS, and Northwesetern University Information Technology.
