Workshop Description:
Don’t leave it to chance - always have a Plan A! Given our rigid curriculum and short class sessions, it is essential to make every minute count with a clearly structured, goal-oriented lesson plan. In this workshop we will discuss different models for organizing course materials into comprehensive, learning-centered plans. Join us and find out which lesson plan format may work best for you and your students, and most adequately reflects your teaching style. Keep in mind that a lesson plan, if thoughtfully constructed, presents powerful evidence of your teaching effectiveness and together with other components of your teaching portfolio, highlights your academic potential.
Workshop Facilitators:
Benjamin Aspray is a fifth year PhD candidate in Screen Cultures who is currently preparing a dissertation on spectacle and disgust in contemporary film and television comedy.
Polina Maksimovich is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures. Her dissertation explores some of the aspects of Vampilov’s metaphysical theater, where she examine the ways the aesthetics of the holy foolery shaped this dramatist’s art and life.
