Chicago's Sarah Siddons Society, an organization committed to funding college scholarships to promising theatre students, will be honoring Brian d'Arcy James and Sutton Foster — the recipients of their annual Actor of the Year awards — at a special ceremony and concert at Northwestern. Brian d'Arcy James is a 1990 graduate of the School of Communication and currently the star of Broadway's Something Rotten. He co-starred in the film Spotlight, which earned critical acclaim and numerous awards, including an Academy Award for Best Picture. Sutton Foster in a successful screen actress and Broadway sensation. The evening will aslo feature Jeanine Tesori, Kate Baldwin, Barbara Whitman, and Andrew Lippa, as well as music theatre students from Northwestern's world-renowned program.
The event is cosponsored by Northwestern's School of Communication.
