Yona Wallach was one of Israeli's greatest poets whose turbulent life is depicted through two films in a world of free love and drugs accompanied by a rapid descent into mental breakdown.

4:00 Introductions:  Northwestern Professor Phyllis Lassner, the WCAS Writing Program, Gender Studies, and Jewish Studies, and  Cindy Stern, Director of Chicago Festival of Israeli Cinema.

4:20 p.m. Screening Yona, directed by Nir Bergman

5:45 p.m. Clips from  The Accursed by Hagai Levi (In Treatment, The Affair) a documentary of Yona Wallach recorded over a 10-year period.
