Dr. Rushton is an international leader in nursing ethics. She is currently designing, implementing, and evaluating the Mindful Ethical Practice and Resilience Academy (MEPRA) to build moral resilience in novice nurses. Her forthcoming book, Moral Resilience: An Antidote to Moral Distress, will be published by Oxford University Press.
Dr. Gerhart is a clinical psychologist at Rush University Medical Center, with a focus on psychosocial oncology, anger management, and post-traumatic stress. He uses mindfulness-based interventions to help clinicians avoid burnout, and is the lead faculty for the ACCEPTS workshops, which use mindfulness practices to build resilience for pediatric palliative care, oncology, and ICU providers.
