After the 2012 election, observers including Republican Party officials credited Latino voters with President Barack Obama’s re-election. They had made the critical difference, especially in key battleground states such as Nevada and Florida. Because of their numeric increase and record registration Latino voters will play an even more significant role in the election this fall. Cadava will offer an overview of the Latino electorate. In many ways, this group of American voters can offer a glimpse of the country’s political future.
