We are very excited to announce that this fall, we will be hosting our first ever Graduate Research Conference, preceded by a reception for students, alumni and faculty from several SPS graduate programs. Some details are below, and more will follow.

CONFERENCE (Saturday, 10/15 – Evanston campus, University Hall, Room 101, 9:00am-3:45pm)

The conference will take place on Saturday, October 15. Participating is a wonderful opportunity for you to interact with your scholarly community; get feedback on your work; and network with students, alumni, and faculty from various disciplines. It’s also good practice for presenting at conferences hosted by other institutions, and a great experience to include on your resume and/or CV. Additionally, it’s a terrific chance for family, friends, and workmates to hear your work in a public space. For those of you who plan to attend but not present, it can be a unique opportunity to learn what your colleagues are researching, support your peers, and demystify research and thesis work. The conference is free and open to the public, and once more details are available, a Facebook event page and RSVP link will be created for you to share.
